Every time I read your words, I think how lucky Myles is that he will have this as a way to know you. I think the same for Maya too. Love these and happy mother's day Maya!
I adore all your letters and maybe especially those to/about your wife. What a beautiful family the three of you are creating. And how lucky we are that you share this creation with us.💕💕
Feeling seen and like you matter is all you need in this life. Finding someone who sees you and to whom you matter is such a gift, especially to the wounded heart. I am so glad you have found that person in your life.
I love imagining your wife reading your words. I also imagine she has some pretty wonderful words to say about you. Mother's Day is still a day of gratitude and yearning for someone (me) who is old enough not to have her own mom alive anymore or children in the house. It's bittersweet if I allow it to be, but only sweet if I stay focused on the blessings I have with a husband who celebrates me, and kids who call to make me feel I did an ok job along the way! That sweet little voice on the audio...oh my!!
Appreciate you for sharing, Donna! It’s often bittersweet for us here too. My wife lost her mom a couple of years ago. So Mother’s Day is always hard. But you’re right, we are always trying to lean more on what we do have while holding close what we lost.
Mark, I’ve not been commenting much lately, but I read every post. This one was especially wonderful. That little bathrobe and deck shoes. Too cute.
It’s such a privilege to watch another good man in the making. Sit down and consider sometime how that little guy could change the world because of your love and care.
Swifter, missed seeing your name. So good to hear from you . Appreciate you. I read this article recently in the Atlantic that lands with what you just said. Such a good read
My Dude!! (I haven’t been on here, just detoxin’) WHEWWW, Thank God for love. Thank God for alignment. He knew what you needed and i pray,as do you, for many more years. My internet cousin is growing up on me hm💙. Hey lil man! Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful moms, dads who step up to serve both roles. Keep writing, keep learning, keep loving. Loved this!🫰🏾🫰🏾
So beautiful, Marc. Your love is a light!
Thank you so much, Ramya ❤️
The trip she made to be sure you were okay...!! Lovely thoughts today, Marc, and what a treat to hear Myles at the end.
His worlds are coming in so fast! More voice notes coming! 😂
Love will make us whole. Myles is lucky to have you both ❤️
Whole indeed, Rachel ❤️

You may have read it already! I’m out of town this weekend so I’m posting an oldie.
