This line just really hit me in its perfection. I can see little Myles waving.

"Here you are, collecting acorns on our walks,

Leaving them at the front porch and waving to let them know you’ll be back."

Thank you, family!

“What’s something you’re grateful for?”

the grace to accommodate other opinions even if they oppose mine.

"How I once dreamed of the things I have now."

I love this line. I write 'The Black Bohemian Lounge' and this week was about dreaming the life we want. Here you are, proving that it can be done.

I am grateful all of us in this world who care and won't give up on others.

Bless you Marc and Lil Man Myles 🙏🏽

I’m grateful for Substack, which has led me to you & many other splendid writers. You’re helping me find the courage to put my own voice out there. Thank you.

As a North Carolinian who is just aching for my home state right now, I feel their desperate need to find love, joy, hope in the small things. Thank you for reminding us that those things can live in places that are small too, and that their size does not diminish their value.

Jess, after seeing those pictures and hearing the stories this is exactly how I felt. Agree with you 100%.

Thanks for this beautiful reminder, Marc. You have me savouring the small things too, and they're wonderful.

I loved listening to Marc read his sweet poem about gratitude for the small things. We are all looking up at the same moon in the night, the lights are on in the house, and making s’mores around the fire pit. Happiness is being with the ones we love. My heart is full this morning. Thank you Marc.

Thank you for this poem. It's the small things that I'm holding onto this season, with everything going on in our world. I'm grateful for my breathe, my body's ability to move and being able to hug my loved ones. Small things that bring huge amounts of gratitude.

I love all of this - down to the breath.

Your love for your son comes across in your writing and it is palpable and so beautiful. What a lucky soul he is to have you as a present and loving father.

Marc Typo's avatar

Appreciate you so much Priscilla. Love is the ministry.

So beautiful. I’ll be thinking of all my small things as I tuck us all in tonight.

And those little acorns 🥹

It's our new thing ❤️❤️! Thank you, friend.

I love when you spin up a poem.

And I love when words remind me to find peace in the mundane.

Thanks for bringing a reminiscent smile to my face. I had a flashback to my son sitting in his high chair signing enthusiastically for “more” as his body rocked back and forth, feet slightly kicking up. The kid was crazy for pears! Still is, though his enthusiasm is more muted as a 17 year old 🙃🍐

Thanks Marc

Myles is crazy for balls! Convinced he would trade us in for them easily! Thank you, Allison! ❤️

Beautiful, Marc. I remember acorn and pine cone collecting! It wasn’t that long ago!

Never knew this would be a think for us. Clearly I need to keep a basket by the front door for all of his nature findings!
