And I just cried reading that, ha! Something about the sweet stillness of each photo made me feel more than if I had been watching a huge wedding! Congrats on year 5.
Ohh, I so appreciate learning this part of your story! Not to diminish everything we went through during Covid, especially those of you in Manhattan, but may I just say that your love is contagious! Look at your faces! Also, I want to be Myles reading these stories someday.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story! My husband and I also had a zoom wedding in 2020 and are also in the throes of early parenthood. We too thought we would have a “real” irl ceremony. But looking back, it was perfect for the moment we were all in. Happy anniversary to you and your wife!
My husband and I got engaged December 2019 and had planned on getting married in Hawaii September 2020. That didn’t happen! We got married in our back yard with our immediate families. There was some drama and some shenanigans, but we had our tiny wedding of eight. We said our vows in the backyard, my dad married us, and we ate a meal together. It was an October 2020 and I didn’t know that it was exactly right for us. Still in love five years later. We also thought we might have a bigger celebration later, but I think we’re happy to let that go and just live our lives instead.
Oh Amy! I love it! It’s really something special for those of us thad had a pandemic wedding. I wouldn’t change a thing! Plus we saved a wholeeeeee lot
Great story! My wife and I got our marriage license on June 1, 2020, the first day the courthouse reopened. The next day we got married by a judge with her bailiff serving as our witness.
I could not love this more, Marc. I wish I could see into the future and watch Myles reading this one! I can almost picture the grin on his face. It will add to his own testimony. I can so picture your wedding. As a former wedding planner turned venue owner, we certainly had our share of big changes in plans! Cancellations, rescheduled weddings...but some did what you did, and we had some very small celebrations that I will never forget. You can't hide smiles behind masks! Happy anniversary to you two! If you ever want to do a vow renewal.....
A vow renewal would have to be a thing now wouldn’t it! Now if we could just have your venue somewhere in Alabama that wood be perfect for our 10 year lol
Such an epic wedding story...one that will be retold for generations, with so much more heart and soul than 'stock' interchangeable weddings.

Thank you so much Violet ❤️❤️
🥹 beautiful, Happy Anniversary 🥳
Wow what a time 2020 was🫠
As someone who is part of the media ministry at church, walking people through using zoom and making sure lighting was good I do not miss 😪
A hope I have for my future is to live in more answered prayers 😌
