This was written back when he was one month old. He’s 6 months and actually sleeping through the night now- I still can’t believe it. Wishing I can gently nudge him for you. I never cooked until my wife got pregnant. But it has become a way to show my love for her. I really enjoy serving her. I can be better about getting her more things though! Thank you for reading! Hope you enjoy some of the other ones too. I’ve been writing these every week since he’s been born.

I’m going to write these for a year and assess. But if it comes earlier, I’ll receive whatever the plan is for me. I get the most joy of just writing these and hearing people all over loving them. It’s going to hold me over until he can read them himself. I would trade in my cooking skills for some handy ones like your husband. That’s an area I’m no hero in- I think these hands were made only to write 😂

Our son is five. Reading this truly took me back in time. Everything you talk about here, is my life 😂. Diaper changing was a massive event for me, I’m a beast in the kitchen now, and I learn so much about myself from him. I miss the days when he was that young some times. Everyday is more beautiful than the last and yet so fragile as less and less of them are left.

Also, the target thing had me dying. This is my wife favorite place too!

And we Dominican call that a “bobo.”

I don't know if I am at beast mode yet! But would love to be. What's something you wish you knew when he was young that you know now?

Man, I never thought I would be the "Let's just got to Target just because..." but here we are now haha!

One of the biggest lessons has been what you mentioned in your post.

Children are incredibly resilient! We as parents can very easily inhibit them for silly things they know they’re ready for. We just have to be careful to stop them and just empower them.

I call that a binky. I actually had to tell a big ol’ lie to my daughter to get her to give hers up. She was about to turn three so I told her it was the law that when you turned three you gave up your binky. She turned three and that day gave up her binky. LOL I did confess what I did when she got older though. She’ll be 17 in a few weeks, but it feels like yesterday.
